Eragard is back!

I am grateful that Slayn was able to host my hobby project, Eragard, free of charge for all of these years. I first signed up for Slayn’s free MUD hosting back in late 2006 or early 2007, so it’s been between 2 to 3 years that I’ve been with him. Unfortunately, after running for nearly 10 years, Slayn has closed his doors. I have no complaints, however. He was a great host.

So with the loss of my MUD hosting, I took a long break from coding but Eragard is finally back! I’ve found another reliable MUD host so I can resume development without much worry.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any backups of the lore and story surrounding the Eragard universe so all of it is gone for good. However, I wasn’t liking where the story was going so I get to start over. This time, I’ll host my blog on WordPress so I have no worries of losing all my precious story and lore data.

I’ve been easing myself back into the custom codebase of Eragard but it hasn’t been so bad. More detailed updates will come soon!
